Actually YVR-LHR-BRU is a much better itinerary. The one negative side is that if I get this right, YVR-BRU is on one of these slave ships with the supposedly inferior J seats instead of regular pods.

Still, a long night sleep is significantly better than the too short sleep on YUL-BRU.
I never said it was. I just clearly stated what the OP's options were.

LHR is another option but you will be paying APD fee if you transit more than 24 hours.
