What about international to international transfers within KLIA1? Will 2.5 hours be enough?

Arriving WY (MCT-KUL) J, need to check-in BR (KUL-TPE) but have Star Alliance Gold status. Assuming WY is not willing to tag my bag all the way to TPE. Arrival will be at 1pm, how quick will I be able to pick up my bag after disembarking? I have done this in HKG and it took only 30 minutes.
