Hong Kong's airport named world's best
HONG KONG Ð Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok International Airport has been named the World's Best Airport for 2001 in an independent survey conducted by Skytrax Research, a British-based airline and air-travel industry research company, the local Airport Authority said.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia was ranked second and Singapore's Changi airport third. Vantaa airport in Helsinki was named top airport in Europe, followed by Amsterdam's Schiphol airport and Copenhagen airport.
The HK Airport Authority said passengers were asked to nominate an airport for ease of use and transfer, sign posting, accessibility, passenger facilities and comfort.
