The degree of "trashing" may depend on the style of music featured on the cruise. I sailed on HAL in January with the Country Music cruise and didn't notice any trashing of the ship. Of course with country music the passengers tend to be a bit older than with rock 'n roll, heavy metal or alternative, but still there were no overt signs of damage that I saw.
