According to todays London Evening Standard
www.thisislondon.com the F & M issue has started to hit the airlines.
They report that many US-UK flights are half empty and that there is deep discounting for next week's Easter holidays (this is a peak period for European travel similar to the Thanksgiving peak in the US).
The article suggests general discounting of 25% but also has dramatic examples of Heathrow/ New York with Northwest for £198 return (under $300 inclusive of taxes).
Should it continue, fares may be deeply discounted for the next peak (July 1st - August 16th). First cracks may appear after Easter.
