And no carry on and a personal bag?!?
What really shocked me was how blunt the 'Manager' on duty was in denying his request. There was no attempt to be even a little apologetic for not being able to accommodate him. It was just, "no".
Did you have preferred something like:
"Dear sir, dear sir's son, dear everybody with 4 bags to check, unfortunately we cannot accommodate your so eloquent request to check for free a 4th. bag. You must understand I'm with my hands tied by this draconian police, you are pretty right in complain. I must suggest you to access
www.aircanada.com and to you make a formal complain about this barbaric treatment that I was obligated to give you by my employers guidelines. It's also a shame that I cannot allow you to board in the F line, because even in a J paid ticket, some people had the nerve to pay a full fare F ticket! But I'm sympathetic with our request, sorry I'm not able to offer more than a smile and a long explanation."
It isn't just, "no"...
Oh, and the kicker was Air Canada forgot that he needed assistance to get to the plane.
It is really a shame. It is a valid complain. ^
