One might think that's thats a moot point and this is about 'policy'. But before everyone gets all high and mighty about this, try putting yourselves in other people's shoes. Things are not always as clear cut as you might think. Perspective.
Many of us are in those same shoes, close to be in those same shoes or know people in those shoes.
Just as a FYI, a SEMM since 1988 isn't really all that much in the grand scheme here. There are many who cover that amount of miles (on AC) in far fewer years.
As others have stated as well, I find the thread title to be grossly misleading for what essentially amounts to a non-issue.
