Being you said he/she was a manager, there may be others things he/she was dealing with and came over to handle just this one request out of courtesy. I think you may call the manager "cold", but not sure if the word "rude" can apply. But I understand this can be a personal judgment. I think if you really think the manager that was in charge at the time was really way out of line, I do suggest you write up a case to AC Customer Relation, they will be able to track that person down based on date/time and area of the airport that you provided to them.
