I’m currently trying to finalise a return flight from YUL to LON in early October. Several days ago I snagged the only (!) outbound CW seat available in my range of dates, which is now booked as a full redemption (40k + cash). However, in hindsight I realised that it would be wiser to book wtp in cash and then use the reward seat for an upgrade.

So, the question is, if I release that reward seat, would it be immediately available for me for the UUA? If there’s no guarantee of that, is this something that the good people manning the silver line could potentially do?
