I assumed they were short on convertibles, as there was not one to be seen. When the name is no on the board, it means they are out of the category booked and will try to upsell, therefore avoiding a free upgrade.
Was surprised that the Club Gold booth at LAX has disappeared, and is now an upgrade booth ...
