You seem to make the mistake to assume that it's just "K"-flyers that will be hit by this change..
It will hit EVERYONE who is using more than one *A program, ie most FTers. Even those in higher class cabins. You can't mix & match anymore.
It's a rather huge blow for quite a few people. LH basically tries to cut benefits in a dark grey area of *A rules - they hope that people will swallow it so they profit from having to give less stuff for free.
Might backfire when some flyers decide to book with other airlines all together instead of just putting the miles into another program here and there..
