Immigration and luggage in ORD, when transiting from NRT to YYZ
Would appreciate some info/wisdom from the flying veterans here.

Have the following Aeroplan redemption itinerary from HKG to YYZ, with 2 connections, and two carriers, NH/AC:
HKG-NRT NH (2hr layover)
NRT-ORD NH (3.5hr layover)
ORD-YYZ AC

Wondering if NH in HKG, would tag the luggage all the way through to YYZ?

And also, wondering about immigration upon arrival at ORD. I'm pretty sure this is what will happen vis-a-vis immigration at each airport, but can someone confirm?

HKG - Hong Kong departure control
NRT
ORD - Clear US CBP Immigration/Customs*
YYZ - Canadian CBSA Immigration/Customs

* would luggage need to be picked up in ORD, and cleared thru US CBP?
