Global Bids $450 Million for TWA

New York holding company Global Airlines Corp has bid $450 million for almost all of Trans World Airlines Inc.'s assets except its St. Louis hub, Global's founder and chief executive said.

The offer follows rival bids by AMR Corp. for $500 million and Jet Acquisition Group for $889 million.
