I just booted up a Win8.1 laptop for the first time last night. I absolutely hate it already. I know there's probably a setting somewhere that makes everything look like XP, but I got so frustrated with the setup process that I had to walk away.

The problem with XP and presumably Office 2003 is that there is no support for either product anymore. Win7 and a newer Office using the emulator is probably a better path.
