Spare batteries in hand luggage
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I can't find anything about spare batteries.
Hubby has a Tamrac camera bag that has various holes for his cameras and accessories.
We're going on hols soon and he's read the guidance about spare batteries in hand luggage which seems to say that you are only allowed 2 spares.
Portable electronic devices containing non-spillable batteries, batteries must be 12V or less or 100Wh or less. A maximum of 2 spare batteries may be carried. These batteries must be individually protected to prevent short circuits.
There are spares for each bit of kit - probably about 10-12 small rechargeable batteries. There has never been a problem before but might he fall foul of the new regulations?
The rules also say that batteries cannot go into checked baggage. I assume that if you put a laptop or camera into a checked back the battery stays with it though, is this correct?
