Most people I know get used to switching from Windows XP to 7 very very quickly. Win 7 is very solid and not really too different than XP. I am using Classic Shell on all my Win 8.1 pc to make it looks like Win 7. I guess if you really want to go back to Win XP you could, but I would try to see if Win 7 look is okay just to stay not too far behind!

As for Office 2007, it was a huge step down from 2003! My work just switched from 2003 to 2007 last year and everybody hated it. No one know where to find things and then there is this stupid ribbon.
