One significant variable. If your incoming international flight is non-stop and you have status you'll collect your bags fairly quickly. But if your incoming required a connection it is very likely that your bags won't come off first with the rest of priority luggage. A couple of times in the last few years my bags have been last off due to staff and NRT not loading luggage properly.
Thank you for sharing that point. I hadn't previously considered it. I arrive on a non-stop, so I plan to call UA and SDC while taxiing to the gate. Oftentimes, the TPAC flights may even arrive early due to tailwinds, so I'll just have to hope.
