I would book first if the difference cost seems marginal and if you have enjoy miles to burn. At least to enjoy the "talked about" suite experience since you have not flown with SQ before.

You could always fly business another time or when the company pays for it. (At least mine does not pay for first).

As the saying, first will still be first.
