My biggest problem in EWR is not the GE kiosks (which I've waited 3-4 minutes for as well) but the line that develops at final customs exit, which gets backed up whether you have GE or not.

Considering the very large number of foreign airports bus pax from the airplane/ tarmac to the actual terminal, I can't imagine why this would be so off-putting to too many foreign visitors.
