Definitely one of my favorite *A airlines to fly in J - especially with no YQ!
They have indeed improved the catering, at least on my flights. But I suspect that it's much thanks to Do&Co who handles the catering at JFK, since the food wasn't as good ex-TPE and BKK.

2. we are planning a trip next year using Turkish Airlines Business Class from CGN to BKK, so this was very informative for us about what to expect.

Thanks and I am looking forward to the next parts.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the report!

Really enjoyed your reviews and amazing photographs!
What kind of camera setup are you using? A wide angled lens?
Thanks! Yes I'm using a Nikon D7000 + 10-24mm wide-angle lens and my iPhone 5S.

Regarding the flight on TK, how to you get out from the window seat to the aisle easily if you are on the window? Don't you have to jump over the other guy?

Also, why did you have to grab your own pillow or whatever? Didn't they turn your seat into the bed for you? Or is that only in F?

You do have to step over the other passenger, but seeing that the seat pitch is at close to 80 inches this was hardly a problem. My seat mate hardly noticed me getting in and out when he was sleeping.

I'm not sure if they offer turndown service on EVA, but they probably do if you ask. But then again since there are no mattresses, and such I suppose there isn't much of a need

thanks for the very fond memories your trip brings back for me. BR and TPE are one of my favourite airlines and places overall.

PS: LH-F/MUC is not too shabby either.
Thank you! Yes Lufthansa First is still on my bucket list, though I was considering to re-book my EVA Air award into LH First during the MUC-YYZ floodgate, but it ended too soon sadly.

Have to say I wasn't expecting too much from the food before I saw your photos, every other TR with BR J photos/descriptions I've seen has the food down as pretty average but your photos have definitely raised my expectations.

The Eggs Benedict, and Lobster Thermidor look spectacular in particular.
Yes the food was certainly up to good standards on my flight, particularly from JFK where Do&Co handles the catering. From Taipei and Bangkok the quality wasn't as good, but I found it to be perfectly edible.

HAHA, yes it just got me thinking of your OZ First report... Or was it Thai?
I will get working on the next parts soon, but for a 3hr layover the lounge is perfectly fine. Good shower facilities and a decent breakfast spread.

By far the best Business Class I've tried, which in my opinion should be classes as a "First Class Light".

Looks like BR really improved their meal service in the past months. ^
I was amazed too how they managed to pull them off. The eggs looked and tasted as if they were freshly poached.
