I went ahead and completed the check-in and just picked 0 bags for now (I wanted to get a better seat assignment)...I'm hoping they don't have any problem adding a bag at the check-in counter tomorrow.
I even got this extra charges even as an AC Super Elite when doing web ckin. I aborted the web chkin and dealt with it at the airport. (I did what you did)
