A mobile airport lounge carrying airline passengers from a concourse to the main terminal at Washington Dulles International Airport struck a concrete barrier last night, injuring 18 people.

The injured passengers were taken to hospitals but none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, said Tara Hamilton, a spokeswoman for the Washington Area Airports Authority.

Several people suffered back and neck injuries.
