But there's so much to see abroad! We usually visit the atypical American tourist destinations as much as possible when we aren't in Europe for business (in fall we return to Paris and Tel Aviv for work, and visit Istanbul for the first time, but in December we visit Rwanda and Madagascar for the first time, and return to South Africa).

I'd say you living in Europe is luckiest for being so much more easily able to visit all the different continents--since most are simply a nonstop flight or two fights away. :-)
