Can you do what you are asking? Yes. Is it within the terms of Honors? No

To get any benefits, including points and stay credit, the account holder must book the room under their account, be actually staying in the room, and pay for the room. Hilton has a specific classification to get base points for two rooms as spelled out in the T&C's.

Many will say, "I do it all the time without incident." Well, they may do it all the time but the hotel has the right to ask for the account holder to come to the front desk when they arrive. Obviously this would be a problem since you never had any intention of staying. It could be an embarrassing situation for the person you have as an additional guest.

When booking a room in my HHonors account, I can enter a "Guest" or "Secondary" name for people for the room so they can check in themselves. But the booking is still on my account.

Can I book a room for a colleague this way and have base points credited to my account, even though he is staying there?

I do know that stays/nights will not post to my account because I am not actually staying there. But what about base points? I have before booked two rooms where I was obviously not staying in both, but got base points for both.
