It seems aesthetically most will agree it is spot on, however in terms of space and legroom it really has failed. I fail to see how they could not have had a CE cabin with perhaps 12 rows with a slight seat pitch reduction to 32/33" and the rest of economy 29/30". This coupled with some wardrobe adjustments and could they not have still achieved the same seating capacity?
having a small amount of knowledge about this, I can say that the 32"/33" thing doesn't really work. You have to view the aircraft in 2 halves. The exits at around row 11 mean that there is effectively a fixed position for the exit row seats. So in front of that, 10 rows times 4inch pitch reduction = about 40inch of extra space or another row of seats. Moving down from 34" to 32" gives you 2" times 10 rows or 20" of space, which does not equal another row. (those numbers are made up for illustrative purposes btw)
There are some creative things you can do with galleys, wardrobes and toilets, but bear in mind:
a) if you want Club Europe catering, you need the galley space currently on the aircraft
b) moving interior fittings is, for some reason, incredibly expensive so you wipe out any of the benefit you'd achieve.
