I scoured the web for this information, and wasn't able to find it so I'm here to share my new found knowledge with you all.

Referral bonuses DO count towards SouthWest Companion Pass status.

I was misled by countless individuals on this topic, presumably individuals who haven't actually ever received referral bonuses.

Regardless, I just received 50,000 points in referral bonuses and all counted towards my companion pass.

You are all now enlightened.
