This is actually another question I had and I haven't found the answer to (yet)... the Consulate/Embassy with "consular jurisdiction" for our state (Ohio) is in New York.
My girlfriend is doing an internship with the Library of Congress in DC, and I'm visiting while "in the area" for work, so it would be real easy to stop by the Embassy's Visa Section in DC and then for her to collect them after they're done processing them.
But can I do that? The way I read it, since we live in Ohio, it can only be issued from the Consulate in New York
