If I have 80,000 in Marriott points already, and 70,000 coming in from the Ritz-Carlton no annual fee offer, is it worth it to switch that to a 140,000 for $400 AF offer by SM? (for a total of 220,000 points)
I would love to get one of those Travel Packages, but my trips are mostly short hops ranging from 2-3 days. The way I calculate it, assuming 25,000 points/night (say at a CY) it's 175,000 for the 7 nights, and 25,000 for the 50,000 miles I would get on AC/DL/HA. That airline portion is what I really want. Can I split the 7 days hotel across trips?
