Anyway I still loves this hotel.
I haven't noticed any paranormal activity but my grandmother says she saw a young Japanese World War I/II-era soldier (Taiwan was once occupied by the Japanese) in the room while my grandfather was in the bathroom. She said, they "撞咗邪" there (had an encounter with evil spirits), and attributes it my grandfather's downward spiral in health. She's quite "together", calm -- a sharp lady. Actually kept quiet about it because she didn't want to scare anyone. She only shared later when someone else travelling with them showed her that the English guidebook they bought as a gift from the Palace Museum shop was Japanese inside. Just an English cover. Dunno maybe coincidence but fun story to go with the GHT.
Anyway, I want to put my mom up there for one to two weeks and use perks of my Hyatt status. I won't be in town. I'm planning to add her name to the reservation. How's the hotel with letting others check-in first?
