Aeromexico Aircraft Crashes Into House in Mexico

An Aeromexico plane carrying 83 passengers overshot a runway in northern Mexico on Friday and crashed into a home, killing at least two people inside, according to reports by local news media.

Aeromexico Flight 250, from Mexico City to the border town of Reynosa, was landing in bad weather from Tropical Depression Keith when it lost contact with the control tower and crashed into at least one home just beyond the runway, according to the reports.

AeroMexico Flight #250, which was involved in an incident at Reynosa General Lucio Blanco Airport in northern Mexico yesterday, landed with routine clearance from air traffic control in heavy rain with a three-mile visibility. The DC-9 skidded off the runway upon landing with 83 passengers and five crew members on board.
