Agree with above posters. This is not to slight guests but the reverse. It is necessary for preserving the quality of CX F. This is why CX F is so revered and unique.

If there is only one seat after waiting, gf gets to sit. It is perfectly fine to swap before the flight starts (and not swap back).

Otherwise, both of you can be in business.
