I had a SYD-CBR Dash 8 flight this morning. I was first to board and was in the first row, so saw everyone else boarding passes as they entered and showed the flight attendant.

Almost everyone on the flight was connecting from international and the boarding passes were a mix of QF, JL, AA, EK, AC, UA, BA and MH.

I can understand the oneworld carriers and EK. I would have thought that AC and UA would have passed pax on to VA.

If a large amount of pax connecting in SYD to CBR are coming from international, wouldn't there be at least some reason to put some international flights directly into CBR? (at least SIN and AKL)
