This will be fine, it is the certainly the case that first names gets combined on the ticket. The ESTA handshake from your ticket is via family name, date of birth, passport number and passport issuing country, off the API section, so no reference to first name(s). The system tolerates a bit of discrepancy there too. You could even go as Phil Pete if you wanted to.
