Guests visiting F from other classes?

Hello all,

Have a dilemma that I am trying to sort out. Looking at return flights from HKG back to the US next year, the problem is that all of the flights only have one First class seat available, with plenty of Business open. I'm traveling with my girlfriend, and was wondering if I book one of us in First and the other in Business, if we would both be able to sit in the pod in First throughout the flight, or is this heavily frowned upon? I see photos showing two people dining together in the same pod across from each other, and the seats also are incredibly wide. The ottoman even appears to have its own seatbelt so that a guest can remain there for extended periods. We are both slender people, so the space isn't the issue. More worried about it violating policy or etiquette and being asked to return to our seats. It'll be an anniversary trip, so sitting apart from each other throughout the flight would not be ideal. Would something like this work, or should I keep looking and hope that I can find something with two F seats?
