Global First SFO>ICN Experience

A few weeks ago I asked whether or not it'd be worth it to upgrade my business class ticket to GF using 30,000 miles + $600. Most of you said it wasn't worth it. So, going against the grain I did it anyway so I could compare for myself. I fly this route 2-3 times annually in business so had a good baseline for comparison. Here's what I found...

1) The International First Class lounge at SFO is much quieter and less crowded than the United Club lounge. The food is slightly better though I did hear another couple talking and saying how much better Cathay Pacific's lounge was. In any event, I appreciated the peace and quiet.
2) The seats are slightly more spacious. However, for me the biggest deal was not having a seatmate and having to climb over anyone to go to the bathroom. I was in 2A. This almost made it worth the upgrade.
3) The service is MUCH better. I've read other posts to the contrary, but I've never experienced service like I did in GF on any other UAL flight.
4) The food was good, but the entrees were IDENTICAL to what is typically served in Business. The only difference is that you get a starter and soup. The other difference was fresh cracked pepper on my salad. By the time I was done with dessert I was totally stuffed.
5) No one in the cabin opted for the turn-down service nor was anyone asked that I could hear.
6) The amenity kit is slightly larger with more goodies.

Bottom line, I fly business primarily so I can lie down and sleep. Upgrading to first was nice but for me not something I'd probably do again. What would UAL have to do to make it worth it?

1) Make suites more private.
2) Improve the food to distinguish the offerings from business class.
