TG is very strong in Asia and links Asia (from their main-/home-hub in BKK) to Australia, Europe, NorthAmerica.

some times ago (3 years?) they also had a flight from BKK to South Africa (and Varig had a flight from South Africa to Sout America then) offering a very different rtw routing than usual on StarAlliance-carriers.
