Would you pay DL to move up in upgrade priority?
Just curious if other Medallion flyers would bite if DL offered a one time buy yourself up to the next upgrade group?

FO could buy up to GM
GM could buy up to PM
PM could buy up to DM

In other words, if you were FO and booked a K fare on a flight from LGA to FLL, would you be willing to pay at time of booking and/or at check-in a fee to be considered part of the GM upgrade group? It would not guarantee you an upgrade, but would let you leapfrog the other FO's not willing to pay.

I think the cost could be based on the length of flight and would have to be reasonable... $30 to $75 I think.

I think this would be an interesting way for DL to generate more revenue at very little risk.
