Dealing with AS customer service is such a pleasure. They actually give a damn about their customers, which is what I'm certain will help them prevail in this "battle for Seattle" with DL. The Wall Street Journal predicted AS will be absorbed. I'm betting the writer of that article never dealt with the AS phone reps, customer service reps, FAs, or gate agents etc... who are all an absolute pleasure with every encounter I have had (and trust me there have been a lot).

I use to fly NW and CO. After all these mergers happened, dealing with their customer service now is like pulling teeth. You can have the absolute worse thing happened to you, and if you complain to the now mammoth UA or DL, your lucky if you get an apology, let alone ANY type of compensation.

I'm glad you had an excellent experience with AS, and thanks for taking the time to publicly show your gratitude. I am certain it is instances like these that will keep AS alive in the rough times ahead.
