I'm surprised that weight is not more of an issue. I love my Sonicare but it is not light - it tips the scales at almost 15 ounces, excluding charger. The Panasonic Doltz has a listed mass of 9.1 ounces (thanks Amazon specs) - I may have to check it out.
Its worth the weight IMO. I forgot it on my last trip (4 days) and it sucked. First tried the free toothbrush from the hotel, that sucked. Then tried one from a gas station, they had one choice, it sucked. Then got one from a dentist friend of mine that lived in the city I was visiting, manual toothbrushes suck. Finally came home and the first thing I did was brush my teeth, what a relief. (I sound like a OCD dental hygiene person)
