A bomb blast rocked the international airport in Manila Sunday, shattering glass panels and uprooting plants outside the terminal building. There were no reports of casualties from the blast, the fifth bomb attack in Manila this month.

Two people seen running away from the scene had been detained. The bomb exploded about 15 yards from the arrivals hall, airport security supervisor Colonel Manuel Pintado told reporters. It tore a foot-deep hole in the ground, uprooted bushes and shattered glass panels in a nearby building. "It was quite powerful," an airport official said. "It could be a C-4 plastic device."
