help for lost luggage American Airlines and AirBerlin DAY13

Hi fellow travelers

Really do not know what to do anymore. My experience with the two airlines has been disastrous and Air Berlin customer care appalling because non existent..

I flew Vegas-NY-Paris with AA on 8/8 and then Paris- Vienna on 8/9 with Air berlin. My luggage didn't make it. I filled in a report, was given a number by luggage agent and thought (as it had already happened) that i would get my luggage the day after. Nope! the thing is that i was leaving for France on the monday 8/11 (i'm french but live in Austria) so needed to give another address for delivery in case my luggage made it in the days to come. But Austroport, the company dealing with lost luggage for Air Berlin (as I learnt in that case it was always the last airline that was responsible) never answered the phone so had to go to the airport by myself to give other address and speak to someone!

After 5 days , you have to write to service.baggage express.de which is in charge of the recovery of bag. No answer in 13 days..actually incorrect they did inform me they had found my bag but after three days with no news , talked to the girl at Vienna airport, it was not mine (content didn't match).

Ever since, i sent messages on Airberlin Facebook page, twitter..to no avail. Managed to talk to Air Berlin service team where entice obedient employees listened to my story but couldn't do anything to help me. I managed also to contact someone from AA luggage service in PAris Charles de Gaulle and one girl said my luggage had been scanned both in Vegas and NY, so i was convinced it was in Paris. Managed to find the number of a helpful man (duty manager )working for Alyzia ( equivalent of Austroport, baggage handler for the right company apparently) who said it didn't mean that because a luggage is scanned that it is on board. Now he said he wrote to an airberlin important staff in Vienna and would get back to me. But i read all the numerous horrid stories of bags never found again both on AA and mostly Airberlin (if you understood German you'd understand my feeling of panic). They specialize in not answering phone calls (you wait for 25 mms that they hang up on you).
The problem is that after 21 days, bag declared lost not delayed anymore, one week left for me and no solution found. I sent picture of bag and description of content, and its got name tag. I'm only a teacher and saved money to pay for this three week trip across the usa, some of the items have a sentimental value (my dad giving them and he died brutally of cancer a year and half ago). I cry every day, like a child. This is beyond unacceptable. WHAT SHALL I DO? thanks.
