What's interesting is that there was an article two days ago in The New York Times about French air controllers refusal to speak English in all conversations with aircraft. This is a policy practiced in almost every international airport in the world. I wonder if this contributed to the proble? French pilot and British pilot seemed to be involved in this mishap.
