Interesting. When I book TATL BE tickets, I tend to search for W or higher and even after I pick BE outbound, the cheapest prices displayed always lead to Premium Economy on AF for the return. I've never tried to purchase one of these, but you can certainly select flights this way. I like to check what Premium Economy would cost but I find the surprisingly low prices that pop up annoying when I discover that it's not really a BE fare sale.
