So does BA! It's aspirational for most, but keeps 'em flying, even after they've reached Gold/GGL, or whatever.

But there is the other point people have made, and which always surprises me about people asking for status matches...what's the point of a status card if you're not going to use the airline/alliance that gave it to you?
