In First, the in charge crew member (CSD/CSM or CM - silver tie) should introduce themselves to every customer. Unfortunately, BA reduced crew numbers a few years ago which means that the in charge crew member has to juggle looking after Club, resolving any issues (seats, IFE, customer service, connections, crew issues...), saying hi to Golds in other cabins and doing F introductions. Whenever they aren't in CW the team there is one down. Some crew therefore prefer to stay in CW to ensure that things run properly. Oh, and I think they're supposed to patrol the entire aircraft every 30 minutes - you can see that they have an impossible job if they want to keep Club running smoothly, especially if it's full or a slightly de-motivated team on the day etc.
