I booked a trip from Paris CDG to Chennai via Riyadh with Saudi Arabian through Expedia two months ago. The transit time used to be a few hours only but few days ago the airline cancelled the RUH - MAA on the day I chose at the time of booking. So they shift me on a flight two days later which makes a transit time of 30 hours therefore I need visa to stay in the Kingdom even inside the airport.

I contacted the travel agent and they told me that a refund is not possible because I have a restricted ticket and even for a date change I have to pay. I'm aware that I can't make any voluntary date change on a restricted ticket but in this case it's not my fault at all.

Does anyone know what I can do or share any similar experience and how you sort it out. Is there any solution to get a refund ?
