We are wanting to book TPA-LHR for next summer round trip. We are more than willing to fly economy for the TPA to IAH/IAD/EWR flight, but really want to do business or higher for the long haul segment (and vice versa the other way). Does anyone know how to price that out on United? I was able to do it on BA and a few other airlines, but damned if I can see how to do it on United. I realize I can pay to upgrade after booking, but I'd like to be able to price out the differences (it's 5 tickets, 3 adults, 2 kids - so even a little savings helps!)
TIA
Use the multi city booking feature at United.com and enter each segment separately. You can then choose which class you want for each segment (can't select a specific booking code, but you can choose economy, business, or first which sounds like it will work for you).
