I find it surprising that there are no award tickets to MEX on your dates. Are you trying to look for first/business? If so, you might be able to get that to MEX, but only coach to SJD. It's not uncommon for domestic MEX AM flights to not have first/business award seats. If you are fine with this solution, you might want to call back and ask them for this.
