Swissotel is a massive 1,200 room hotel. I don't like large hotels of this size, so I don't really recommend this...
Well, it does have the best/highest views around, has a fantastic lounge (if you qualify via type of room or status) and the bar with the best view in Singapore (New Asia bar up top). Location is great too and there are three different MRT lines within 2 mins walk.
The grand rooms (which are corner rooms) are huge and almost like a mini-suite. Plus there is a mall connected to the Swissotel that has a big food court as well as a supermarket below.
The Marriott is nice if someone wants to stay on Orchard Road, though that seems to be less of a "happening place" than it used to in the past. The Ritz is slightly out of the way if you like to walk to places, and only 1/2 of the hotel has a decent view. The atmosphere is slightly too stiff for my liking.
