You can select the upfare during orginal booking. I do not do it for 2 reasons.
#1 - I need a receipt showing the coach fare for reimbursement purposes.
#2 - I have found that sometimes, but not always, the cost of the upfare is less when I go back into the record.
I think I cited an example of #2 earlier in this thread. The upfare was $104 during booking and went down to $57 when I went back into the record. It took an extra minute or two to save $47... I am frugal, not cheap.
